Not going to happen on the top 150 recruits. He already had a chance at a couple and chose a different path. Jank’s recruiting strategy is DITR rather than top 150. The path of least resistance....

I really hope somebody will ask him in a presser why he is so unsuccessful in recruiting and our conference mates are landing top level players. Limited schollies does not restrict signing quality top level players.

Well, in fairness, have to note that limited schollies does mean that top players are less eager to sign with us. Limited schollies means limited # of good players.

It’s the same number of good players available, you just have to land some, in fairness.
62–25 (.713) as a temporary, and full time coach at SMU. AAC coach of the year in 2017.
Injuries killed us the last half of the season last year, and now all of the recruiting momentum, and pull we had has been slowed and maybe killed because of the probation scholie reductions. This is probably more LB's, and the NCAA's corruption factor fault than Tim's.
Don't think I've ever seen a coach on here that hasn't eventually felt the rath of the immature rass roll troll-eefans on here.
Jank won with LB’s players, period. It’s on Jank to recruit better players but SMU lost to USM which is on probation as well and lost scholarships. Jank has also publicly stated that he is going for DITR’s (sound familiar). That is on Jank. I remember you were a JJ super supporter and watched him destroy the program which is going to take Coach Dykes year’s to totally recover from. I guess Jank will have some super supporters that will watch him give the program a slow painful demise as well.

Limited schollies also means that a good player (not DITR) will be able to get almost immediate playing time vs. riding the pine for some other schools. Hence more experience and better exposure. Of course a coach has to try and recruit those type of players instead of the bottom 200.

Jank's only hope is to find a transfer (or 2) like Semi who is not getting the minutes he wants in a top program and is willing to sit out a year in order to have a better shot at playing time. Would be even better to find a couple of grad transfers who may have been starters but were then recruited over.
