Arkansas refuses to play ASU. It was a Frank Broyles edict that they never play an in state school. I honestly think that will change in the next few years with the death of Broyles and fresh team in the athletic department.

Surprised the state legislature has not gotten involved. Some states want the premier state school to share the wealth with smaller public school in their state rather than giving visitor checks to the likes of Portland State.

Former Governor was an ASU grad and he was powerless against Broyles.

Broyles always said that with limited D1 athletes in the state it would hurt both schools by upping the competition for them. He wanted to keep his foot in the throat of ASU.

And that is why the Hogs will not play Arky State. Nothing to gain with a victory, plenty to lose with a defeat.
