Who cares, itΓÇÖs just a number. Memphis will lose to Cincinnati if not more games. This week was their super bowl.

My view as a long-suffering SMU fan who thinks the national media hates us:
We will drop out of the top 25, but probably still get some votes. Unless we win the next 3, don't look for us to return to the top 25.

My view on where we should be based on this loss: 21-25

Does it really matter? Winning out matters.

That game last night was good for AAC credibility and right now we have 5 teams with legitimate Top 25 potential. I think SMU remains ranked, albeit somewhere in the 20s and possibly still ahead of Memphis (never discount home field advantage and that was a competitive game despite our horrible kicking game). Pretty sure Cincy, SMU & Memphis will all be ranked and Navy and UCF are hovering as well. Navy has a bye to prepare for their next game @ Notre Dame and that's going to be a big game for AAC credibility

What an exciting game to be showcased last night! I donΓÇÖt think we drop that much, but then I know who the voters are. Regardless, weΓÇÖve got a season to finish and if we win the rest weΓÇÖll all be ecstatic.

I think we win two of last three...

They lost a close game to a ranked team. They won't drop out.

1) I don't really care. All I care about now is conference championship.

2) With the amount of time KH and CF talked up the AAC, I wouldn't be surprised to see Navy sneak back in and give us 4 teams in the top 25.

That game last night gave P6 a ton of street cred. Just think about that 4th down throw Memphis made. That was a perfect throw, great catch, with perfect coverage. That one play opens eyes about the quality of the league.

#23 Coaches Poll. Down 9. Memphis only moved up 4. Boise is right in between Memphis and SMU at 21.

The winner of the aac, who ever it is, is almost certainly going to be a one loss team and will finish ahead of Boise.

Just don't get the Boise lovefest, they haven't sniffed a Top 25 win. We have 2, TCU and Temple. Granted they have sunk lately and were overranked. I'd put UCF above Boise.
