That would be exciting (and possibly really sloppy) with missed PATs, 2 point conversions or safeties and who knows what to come up with those numbers!

It's a durn shame this can't be played in a rockin' fullish Ford Stade-jium, after the ABC game last season in the Liberty Bowl. We are improved in Special Teams, and that ends up winning the game.

Additionally, I think Dykes will have the team super ready for Saturday. They've had this game circled since last year. SMU has lost 6 in a row to Memphis. No easy task stopping that.

I suspect we have not tipped our hand completely with our previous 3 opponents. Different routes and looks on offense and some defensive schemes that Memphis won't have tape on will emerge.

Gipson will spell Shane and run the triple option with our new Pony Express backfield. Memphis will suddenly test positive for Covid-19 at half time and will not take the field for second half to avoid humiliation.

Nah, just roll 'em up. Double digits would be my desire.
Your comment about "not showing" the sets and routes for Memphis in the previous games seems to have merit. Given time, Sonny is creative as a designer of plays and sets.

Saturday will be worth tuning in for...I'm bringing my "Tark Towel"

I am very worried about this game, especially our defense. I will make homer call though, and go with the Mustangs by 1 in a shootout. Anyone have any extra Xanax for the game?

I am among the worried fans, but we should be. The defense must find some stops because the offense will take care of itself. The big boys on both sides need to have their best showing of the season! Just do it.

I share the fear that our sometimes porous defense will be mauled. The offense will take care of its side and the defense will have to take a step up.

I would be just fine with SMU winning a track meet like the one we lost last year. Whatever it takes.

I think we win by a touchdown with the winning team being in the high 40's. The primary difference will be special teams, where we will have some difference making plays on the plus side this year.

Defense looked good against North Texas until the game got out of hand. I am going to change my close prediction...
SMU 49
Memphis 34

I think I called this one pretty well. Probably brought our guys luck because I didn't watch this one live. Really enjoyed the replay except for those injuries to T.J. & Reggie
