as for running up scores, I loved Steve Spurrier's quote after his 2nd and even 3rd team guys would put lopsided numbers on the board "if you don't like it, get yourself a better team because I'm not going to tell my guys not to play hard"

While I'm not going to say we have "passed TCU", we certainly had the better team yesterday and that is exactly why our former SWC mates are going to do everything they can to keep SMU out of the Big XII where we would be on an equal footing in recruiting. With the implementation of NIL rules, TCU, Baylor & Houston know how formidable an opponent SMU could become.
Patterson should be more concerned with his players post game (and pre-game) antics. There is a long history of what his players do before and after games that I am not going to bother to list.
And Patterson has a short memory of helmet throwing.
"On a 3rd down that ended in a Buechele INT, a TCU player ripped off an SMU player's helmet then threw it 15 yard downfield"
In Dykes postgame he was asked about it:
'It was a hell of a throw': Sonny Dykes responds to no-call after TCU defender tossed an SMU player's helmet.
This was so obvious - player should have been ejected...
Nice try Patsy. U got out coached, ur team got outplayed, & u try divert attention away from ur poor coaching so u gotta start some BS. IΓÇÖve seen ur cocky SA remarks over the years re: wins against SMU & u have no class. STFU. You got your [deleted] kicked, move on to ur next game, & quit whining. HereΓÇÖs hoping Sonny gets the skillet fired up & enjoys a great day/weekend along with all SMU fans.
First of all, a coach should be above all of this. Sonny responded with class, Fatterson didnΓÇÖt. Fans and college players will say things but coaches should be above that.
To call out the thing with the frog legs a year later, itΓÇÖs clear it eats at him (no pun intended) when weΓÇÖre better at football too. He says we hate them, yes we hate them and they hate us. We hate that we got the shaft for the death penalty when they cheated but didnΓÇÖt cheat well enough to win. We hate that their administration got a coach that is an ahole but a good coach that resurrected a program that was just as irrelevant in the football landscape as we were. They hate us because weΓÇÖre a much better academic school and we know it. Then the Dallas vs Ft Worth.
But you donΓÇÖt call out a player as he did. HeΓÇÖs a hypocrite because his hatred towards SMU is so evident in his actions and comments. We hate that they have an advantage over us because theyΓÇÖre in the B12, and he hates that while heΓÇÖs in the same P5 conference, he still canΓÇÖt compete against the big boys (OU and UT) when it comes to recruiting and talent level.
HeΓÇÖs always been a sore loser and praises the toads when they beat better programs with better athletes but doesnΓÇÖt admit when other programs beat them with the same underdog attitude he has.

And who was instrumental in GP getting the coaching job and their commitment to improve their fb program? A guy named Bill Koehler, former SMU grad and frat brother. I guess when you want something done right you go with the SMU guy.
I got a good laugh when I read about him whining about SD & the frog legs AND he brought up the Diamond M from how many years ago?!? The fact that that still bothered him is hilarious. That was probably one of the best pranks ever done to a rival. How awesome would it be if it happened again yesterday?!?

I figured he'd wanna bring up the 2007 Pony Up since he was actually here for that

IΓÇÖm frankly disappointed in you, CP. IΓÇÖd like to think you had been brought up better than that. There is such a thing as good sportsmanship, no matter how many cute quips are thrown out to disguise its absence.
