I'm a little shocked. Do the alums want to go that route? Sonny hasn't had a proven record in P5 and we just lost to Houston. I like Sonny but he hasn't proven anything yet other than progressio here and beating tcu.

Why would someone hire GP as DC? Bumpas was the genius DC behind his major success.

Both fanbases will be angry if tech or TCU signs Sunny

Honestly from what I've been reading, Hart ****ed this up and alot of people suspect he won't be here after all the offenses he caused and about to lose his one achievement (Sonny).

1) Larry Brown handling
2) Moody Reseat
3) Adding NTCC to the AAC
4) Screwing up Sonny's extension

we can always hope. I doubt if RGT will get rid of this little lap boy. The fball $supporters must demand a change if we are to move forward.

It would be interesting to know the complete story behind Patterson being fired. He has certainly behaved more erratically this season and the team has been mediocre for sometime. Still, I wonder if erecting his statue on campus went to his head.

TCU was clearly trending down and I have to believe TCU's timing is because Sonny will be their primary target and they feared Tech moving on him quickly.

Totally agree. I suspect GP might have had a little pressure to leave now. That way TCU could start recruiting SD and not take a chance on him deciding on taco tossers U..

Slate Article recaps Gary Patterson's departure, including how the firing and his unwillingness to continue through the end of season, and suggests this coaching style, authoritarian, was no longer workable in this more empowered, more player friendly environment.

He is SMUΓÇÖs seventh full-time head coach since 1989, and this is the first time since then the Mustangs will post three consecutive winning seasons.

I'll say that this is probably a good time to get a subscription at Pony Stampede. There's good information there and helps make sense of some of the noise but I'll caveat you aren't going to get a definite answer. I definitely have a different view on all of this pre/post subscription.
