Scuffle on the floor
Davis and Temples dive for loose ball
While reaching for it, Davis took a knee to the side of the head
__ either punched or reached — presumably for the ball — and got Davis in the arm. Glancing blow appeared to get Davis in the head, too.
Officials review replay ... for a loooooooong time.
Personal foul on KD, technical on Temple's Jeremiah Williams.

Michael Weathers can't believe he was called for a foul on a would-be block.
He also blocked a 3 in the opening minute.
Zach Hicks hits 1 of 2

Temple coach — and 15-year NBA veteran — Aaron McKie looks like he wants to suit up and play. Has spent half the game wandering out on the floor, yelling at his team and/or officials

Owls 6/12
But Temple is 2/6 on FTs, SMU is 10/11

So much for my hoping our guys would come out and shoot lights out today. Temple hitting 50% so far. Good thing our team shoots FTs well

After Isiah Jasey's season-ending injury, the Mustangs have to play small lineups a lot, relying on considerable time with three or even four guards on the floor. Today, Marcus Weathers was SMU's tallest starter at 6-5 — ALL of Temple's starters were 6-5 or taller.

Ball out of bounds. Initially called Temple ball (Marcus Weathers was in the area) before another official, who was closer to the play, overruled the official who made the initial call. Temple's Damian Dunn tried to convince the officials that the first call was the right one ... but did it while laughing. He knew they got it right ...
SMU 25
Temple 18
