SMU loses 72-57 and probably seals its fate as an NIT team (hopefully we win enough to make it). This was a pretty lifeless SMU team. Unless we really turn it around and crush Houston we really don't deserve the NCAA tournament. This Wichita State team was reeling and somehow we made them look great.

The toilet bowl spiral has begun.

Just an incredibly sloppy ugly finish to that game. Not going to win many games when you shoot 36% and turn it over 17 times. WSU is a pretty good team that played a much tougher non-conference schedule than our guys. They beat Missou and Okie State on the road and took Arizona to OT before losing a close game. Covid disrupted them early in AAC play but they are going to be a factor down the stretch.
Only chance this SMU team has now is to go undefeated at Moody. It's looking like must wins vs Houston, Cincy, Memphis and Wichita State to have any hopes of any NCAA bid, but realistically they will probably have to do that AND at least reach the finals of the AAC Tourney. It's looking like the AAC might be a one bid league with several NIT caliber teams

For a frog you really do seem to be a little obsessed with all things SMU. I guess our guys beating your football team in consecutive meetings in Ft Worth can do that

I think SMU was anything but lifeless. I thought they played very hard. Unfortunately they also played very poorly as has been alluded to. KD again trying to do way too much himself instead of keeping the ball moving. It certainly did not help that we were off for a week, but we have to be WAY better Wednesday night.

for such an important game as this to only reach 2 pages (pre-me) is rather telling.
4 posters & a troll.
Silver Lining is if this further seals Jank’s fate.
He ain’t the guy.

I thought the same thing. Apathy on the court and the coaching office leads to apathy in the stands and the homes of fans.

Since the beginning of the 2017-2018 season we’re 35-39 in AAC play.
The program is on the slow boat to nowhere.
