Logic is an increasingly rare thing in print or in digital form. The powers that be in the B12 have turned down SMU twice in the last 35 years...I am not optimistic for a recount.
Chart our course as decisively as possible, and WIN.

Thank you Tim Cowlishaw. Makes sense and keeps or restores a lot of rivalries, a rarity in today’s college sports. I believe SMU, TCU and Baylor are stronger together than they are apart.

This is what needs to happen. Dollars and cents.
Drivable games.
The Texas and Dallas market.
Strength and rivalries.
God's will be done.

Deep dive into what happened in ACC discussions recently, by Andrea Adelson
https://www.espn.com/college-football/s ... ealignment
SMU discussion:
"SMU entered the conversation as a way to help financially -- bringing in the state of Texas has appeal not only from a television household perspective but from a geographical standpoint. Unlike with the Pac-12 schools, though, there is no rush on SMU, because as multiple administrators have said, it can be added at any time."
Bottom line on Cal and Stanford seems to be that "u"NC, Klempson, and F$U are all adamantly opposed for whatever reason, and NC State decided to be opposed because they're sucking up to "u"NC in the hopes they get taken with them wherever the Tar Holes may go.

The problem with we can take SMU anytime, is that SMU is supposed to help keep Clemson and FSU from walking NOW. The additional TV monies which SMU was willing to forego would help everyone make more money. And if the PAC and AAC merge, then we're off the market. By the way Dukie, love your spellings.

Hey that "school" in Chapel Hill surrendered all pretense of being an academic institution so they don't get a U. F$U is what they are, and, well, that's how South Carolinians say that particular word. Thanks tho. Go Tribe!
