I disagree with the top 4. To me, it should have been FSU # 3 and Alabama # 4, although I could see the argument for Texas at #4. The reality is that FSU deserved it as an undefeated P5 team with the schedule they had. I think itΓÇÖs much more difficult to win the SEC than the B12 (duh) so I would give more credit to a season than a head to head game in week 2. I am confident that both Georgia and OSU are better than Texas.
LetΓÇÖs hope the committee follows AP and Coaches poll in that both have SMU above Liberty.
The committee just said (to FSU) that going undefeated doesnΓÇÖt matter.
I think itΓÇÖs different going undefeated in a P5 conference than in a very weak conference USA, plus not even playing a single P5 team. I get the similarities on the undefeated argument, but I think the reason for leaving FSU out was they lost their QB. Which by the way, I hope they donΓÇÖt use the same argument against us. ThatΓÇÖs my concern. I think strength of schedule should matter, and Liberty has the weakest schedule. I discount their undefeated argument heavily given they played nobody.

I find it interesting/annoying that both polls put us only 1 place above Liberty. I just can't wrap my head around the idea that actual college coaches think Liberty is better than Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Tennessee and Tulane (I might give them JMU).

Committee showed they value best team/eye test more than just wins (good for SMU) but also showed they value injuries (not good for SMU with Stone going down a la Jordan Travis). Liberty has a soft conference/SOS and no great win. Hopeful!
Thought about that immediately ΓÇö hope you're right about the first part.
