Freshen up Moody seating/lighting
Widen the concourses by taking out the exterior offices
Add a practice facility to alleviate practice time issues with Volley, and WBball
Center scoreboard with 4 replay screens
Done
9000 seats are plenty, no need to scrap it at all.

Look at number 31 (Moody Coliseum renovation & expansion) (link below) on the the campus master plan. It appears that the added space at the southwest corner of Moody and the added space at the northwest corner of Moody could accomodate separate practice areas/courts.

Two new practice courts?
It makes sense. If the basketball and volleyball teams can practice without using Moody's main court then the arena is available more often for cleaning, maintenance and additional cultural/community events.
Added space on Moody's north side could be a food/refreshments court or coaches' offices/meeting space. The new space directly in front of Moody's existing main entrance could be a grand new entrance or coaches' offices and meeting space or a food/refreshments court.
Lot's of possibilities.

Now, one of these years in the near future when we're all at an NCAA tournament site, what should be the color to wear? Red? Blue?
It seems to already be red. Most SMU clothes are red, including "mustang maniac' shirts. The reason it looks like mixed colors is that too many students show up to the game in their UT or A&M shirts.

Red it shows up better on TV. Its a powerful emotional color. The blue Xavier shirts were harder to see in the crowd than the barf orange shirts of the Longhorns last night.
