Yeah those have to be used. Looks terrible otherwise.ShantyBoy wrote:Almost completely packed through the first half except for a few spots high on the east side in the sun. I guess you had to be there in person to see it. By far the best it’s been in a while. Speaking of which, there should be something that says if those folks bought seats in the new endzone area, they should somehow be required to use them. Those empty seats look bad. Much like the high dollar lower section at Moody. If they can close down the boulevard, they can push those people into their seats.
It was awesome in person. And the biggest point, which I will bring up in my post game writeup this afternoon, is that game was the first time in Ford Stadium history that the crowd legitimately impacted the game. TCU looked rattled from the start.PlanoStang wrote:I think I heard it was a sellout, but it didn't look like it on TV. One of the announcers said a lot probably stayed home because of the heat.
Not to rain on what happened yesterday, but I had to edit your post very slightly.JasonB wrote:It was awesome in person. That was the loudest I have ever heard at an SMU game, and I have seen many.SMUguy wrote:Also 2009 vs. UTEP. When Taylor Thompson crushed the QB to seal the first bowl bid, Ford was deafening.
Being in Chicago, I don’t get to many games, but I was at the Opening Game in 2009 when we beat Kansas. It was a special day and memory.Dukie wrote:Not to rain on what happened yesterday, but I had to edit your post very slightly.JasonB wrote:It was awesome in person. I was there also and thought about it for this thread, but really, have to respectfully disagree. All ~9000 of us still there were certainly yelling our loudest. But it was not like last evening or even Kansas 2000.Arkpony wrote:That was the loudest I have ever heard at an SMU game, and I have seen many.SMUguy wrote:Also 2009 vs. UTEP.
