unfortunately, with how the SEC is shaping out...1 more loss even if it was in the ACC championship most likely leaves the ponies out of the playoffs

Today's power teams, Alabama texas notre dame usc, due to the portal and the NIL, may not be the power teams in 2 to 3 years. I think we are already seeing that take place now. We may fall out now, but in the future, we will not.

Miami losing really hurt us. If we could have made it to the championship game with Miami undefeated, I think we would have been in even with a loss in the championship as long as we didnt get blown out. We would most likely boast our only two losses to undefeated and top ranked teams.

Now that Miami lost, our only chance is to win the championship game, which we can do. Miami is very beatable and has had some luck this year, but it ran out Saturday.

Also, might as well start rooting for BYU to lose, so if we do get it in, we will be sure to have one of the byes since we would jump them in the rankings.

Its ACC Championship or bust at this point, no use worrying about if we lose (if we do, we are out).

I'd be super curious to know what SMU's ranking would be if they had stayed in the AAC, played the same OOC schedule, and had the same record.

Barely 25. Look at Tulane for example.

we would probably be where Army or Tulane is: 24 or 25, hoping against hope that Boise State would lose 2 games.

Nobody is going to give SMU anything and itΓÇÖs foolish to expect any kind of handout. Just take it by winning and prove all the fools wrong. ThatΓÇÖs all that matters. Our playoff game is Saturday against BC.
