Matt Cross is just killing us on both ends.

Samet looks like a defensive liability right now and Edwards is MIA offensively tonight. Surprised Keon hasn't seen more minutes

Butler with 12 made threes compared to only 4 for SMU but our guys are just playing [deleted] poor ball since that brief spurt early in this 2nd half when we played with defensive intensity. Now we are just watching Butler shoot threes while waving a hand at the shooter

Butler wins 81-70 with the difference being three pointers where Butler made 12 vs SMU's 5 accounting for a 21 point difference. Harris was the only Mustang making threes tonight while Butler had 4 different guys shooting threes at a good percentage. These teams looked very evenly matched but Butler was able to spread their scoring around with 6 guys in double figures while SMU relied on Harris' 21 points and Boopie's 17. Just did not see they same defensive intensity from our guys tonight with the exception of a 4 minute stretch early in the 2nd half where we pressured the ball and actually took a 2 point lead before the wheels fell off.

Back to a softer schedule as these guys continue to figure things out.

Disappointing night last night. Harris played emotionally and you know he wanted a different outcome in his return to Butler but he was clearly our leader last night. He & Boopie tried to do too much at times. Kudos to Colbert who I thought played his best game as a Mustang. He played 16 minutes and had only one foul but contributed offensively, pulled down 3 rebounds, blocked shots and has a couple of steals. He was part of the group that was on the floor and helped SMU take a brief 2nd half lead. Bottom line is this was a Quad One road loss and the good news is that we will get several more Quad One opportunities this year

What the heck happened to Butler since we played? They are 8-10 with a 92 net. Injuries?
