We have to win one game at a time.

Not unlike what they do in Philly where the six D-1 bball schools all play at least 3 non=conference games against each other
Sorry buddy, but no. There is zero reason for SMU to want to play NTSU. Ever.

Now, hopefully when the NCAA brackets are announced in an hour or so, Texas is left out and joins the NIT field. There has been no SMU-Texas matchup in football or men's basketball since 1995. Let's change that.

Nope, Texas (19-15), and I think 13 other SEC teams got in the tourney.

That is beyond corruption :!:

The NIT takes themselves very seriously. Have to go to their social media pages and all you get are BS "coming soon" messages. Gimme a break.

Very few power conference schools. SMU should be VERY competitive against this field.

No surprise - pretty much a yawner field. Try to get motivated, fellas. Beat the Cornshoots!

A little surprised that Wake Forest didn't make it. Glad we got a 1 seed. Really need to make the most of this opportunity.

Wake turned down an invitation to focus on roster building via the transfer portal so Stanford and Georgia Tech join SMU as ACC invitees. As expected, the NIT has set up a potential SMU vs UNT quarterfinal game provided we can get past Northern Iowa and the winner of the Okie State vs Wichita State game. UNT has to get past Furman and the winner of St Louis vs Arkie State. Like we did in 2014, SMU has an opportunity to win 3 games in Moody to qualify for the Final Four. Would be great to see 3 ACC teams make the Final Four

Whatever happened to unbiased juries? At least there should be a limit to teams per conference. No more than 50%. Wouldn't surprise me if the Whorns bought some votes.

We may have fun like the 2014 team with Nic Moore and Larry Brown with the #1 seed in the NIT. Home games until NY.

Looks like finals are in Indianapolis this year not NYC. I saw about 7 name teams declined. Wake, LSU, So. Carolina, PItt, NWestern, Rutgers among them. There is also that new Fox Tournament which seemed to get Boise, Georgetown, Nebraska, UCF, Tulane and some others. No TCU in any of them.
