Owusu-Anane is 247's 9th ranked forward in the Portal.

No outgoing transfers listed.

I couldn't find on 247 a list of players who have entered the portal.
I assume the coaching staff will sit down with all the potential returnees and that we could see more activity as early as this week but certainly within the next couple of weeks

Picking up Owusu-Anane from the portal moved SMU's overall ranking from 7 to 4.

That's exactly what Andy Enfield said after the Oklahoma State game — that he and his staff were going to start having those meetings with players in the next day or two. Got to assume they all have been held by now.

We need some impact guys to compete at the top tier of ACC teams but with 2 big recruits and one transfer already committed, I wonder how much room there will be for another big (depending of course on how many from this year's roster with eligibility remaining actually return)

Not surprised about this move. Will always remember him fouling out in what was it...6 minutes of playing time? Would have to go back and look at the box and don't remember what game it was but even Coach Enfield joked about it "probably being a record" in his post game comments.

I assume at least 2 more guys will join him in the portal

I had to go back and look it up because I remember Enfield joking about it so I assumed we must have won the game for him to be in a good enough mood to joke about it. It was against Pitt on 2/11, a game we won 83-63 and Colbert picked up a technical on his 5th foul (in a tussle with one of Pitt's bigs if I recall correctly) so he actually had 6 fouls in just 10 minutes of playing time in that game.

Jerrell is just incredibly aggressive defensively and he had the 2nd highest number of blocked shots (23 vs Samet's 33) but accomplished that in just 279 minutes compared to Samet's 783 minutes making him by far our most productive shot blocker.

Former USC/Enfield recruit and Stanford guard Oziyah Sellers has both entered the portal and declared for the NBA draft. Would be nice if Enfield could recruit him for a season on The Hilltop
