And to think, just 4 or so years ago we didn't have enough depth for players to enter the portal cause there was enough playing time at SMU. Kinda a nice feeling we got players other teams want.

So, he was here one semester and gone.
Wow.

Spring practice might have convinced him he wasn't going to get the playing time he wanted? How many guys enter the portal hoping to be buried in a team's depth chart?

Wow.
I wonder if the SMU NIL agreement for him has a clawback, and if so whether it will be enforced. Similar issue at Arkansas:

Different posture, then; thanks. And builds credibility with other prospects.

Will be interesting to see if L.J. can become "the guy" at Cal. If so, I expect him to play with a chip on his shoulder when we visit Cal this year.

So both Abiara and Luster headed to Texas State while Davis and Sandjo-Njiki are headed to Washington State. With 8 of our 17 outgoing transfers still looking for new homes, I wonder if those schools will add more of our guys of whether some of the locals might try to stay local?

I thought we were pretty active with 17 leaving and 19 coming in via the portal but UNT...wow! They have 34 new players with 7 coming from SHSU and 3 from TCU while 45 guys are leaving Denton. Surprised they have not been able to add a single SMU player yet

Maybe we are "done helping UNT"...
Nah, that is so "TCU-ish"...
