Hicks got happy feet and missed an open Proche on that last play, but this one is on our star WRs who both had clutch drops after Hicks found them and threw it on the money. May have at least had a shot at OT. Brutal loss. Now these guys have to regroup and figure out a way to beat Navy

They did but itΓÇÖs hard to get upset with them. Both are great players & kids.

Lots of points left on the scoreboard tonight...haunting mistakes too. Tied with UH in terms of losses (but they have a game in hand), and another Top 25 team next week. It was fun pretending to be a AAC contender. But weΓÇÖre bowl eligible...rah rah.

Should have at least had an opportunity to get that game to OT and then who knows what might have happened but like others have said...at least we were competitive and if we can find a way to beat Navy and compete at Memphis, maybe we will have more than 5,000 come out to support this team against Tulane. Still have a chance of winning 8 games this year and matching or exceeding the best season we've had in the post death penalty era (if we could win a bowl game and finish 9-4).

Tough loss but what a game. Everyone that came out got their money's worth.

Well, [deleted]. Hard fought game and your 2 biggest playmakers blow it (great kids, though, and they are still some of the best in the country without a doubt). And Proche playing lights out and then drops the ball there at the end. Bad call on his other drop also. Oh, well. Would've been great to get the win. But, as I've said, Navy and Memphis are more important. It was a very good showing in front of a homecoming crowd.

UCF obviously game planned to try and take Sutton and Quinn out of this game and they really limited our studs leaving Proche to have the best game of his young career. Games like this come down to a handful of plays and it's easy to look back and count our lost opportunities on offense and a few busted plays on D that made the difference. Going to be really interesting to see how this team finishes. In the past, we'd be looking at blowout losses at Navy and Memphis and would then be lucky to take Tulane on our home field. Going to be an interesting finish but these guys showed me something tonight that I haven't seen in years
