Chad needed to go, anywhere, as long as it was viewed as a step up. One more year here and he could forget a P5 gig.

Very Interesting 78Pony!

3 favorite excuses according to Stallion:

- can't recruit without more fans in the stands

- can't recruit off 1,3 & 5 win seasons

-can't recruit defense until you recruit offense first

I'm not the one making excuses-SMU won exactly the games I predicted they would win - I've told you that SMU would go bowling in Year 3-BINGO!! I also was the first to point out that Chad had left his defense exposed by focusing primarily on Offense in his first recruiting class. So what's your excuse? 700% increase in win total. Bulls-Eye!

Your supposed recruiting 'expertise', like Chad's, is slowly getting exposed. So back to the original question posed by IPP.......

"after three years of Chad's "great recruiting" why is our defense cupboard so bare?"

Rhule just inked a Top 25 class coming off a 1-11 season in Waco, and one of the worst debacles in college football history, so he has disproved many of your theories as outright nonsense.

Squeaked into a bowl game in YEAR 3 with an insanely easy schedule.........WOW, now that was a great 'prediction' right there!

No you did not say SMU would go bowling in year 3. In fact you called me an idiot for suggesting during the 2016 season that 2017 was bowl or bust. Quit making excuses for Chad! He was a good not great coach. He may very well become a great coach but was not worth a penny more than what we were paying him for the results he was producing. I would even argue we overpaid him given that Tulsa and Houston got similar coaches for much less.

It's all revisionist history, and fact-twisting with Stallion. Throw in some name calling when a legitimate counter argument exists that he doesn't like.

"700% increase in win total. Bulls-Eye!"

We basically paid Chad Morris more than any G5 coach in the country to upgrade our twitter account.

It looks like after 3 years, Chad has left us with a dumpster fire

on defense, this will have to be a total rebuild for the new staff.

We lost 5 defensive lineman from the two-deep roster this past season, and if you have seen the linemen we redshirted this past year, it will make you shiver. No size in that bunch at all. If you saw them standing on the sidelines during games, they looked like they were small high school players.

Imagine Sonny's 1st priority is Juco DL recruiting. Morris DL recruits over 4 YEARS!......

Scott & Biggurs - 15
McLaurin, Gary, Jones - 16
Ndukwe, Loveless, Neals, Coxe, Gipson - 17
Newman & Smith - 18

15' & 16' all mediocre at best
17' all midgets
18' no DE's at all, a 5'11 DT, and 1 smallish DT with potential on paper.

Chad was an "all world - out work anybody recruiter",
but left us with a "dumpster fire" on defense for next season?

If we go into the total sheeter next season Chad Morris name will be pooh too.

They have during the Bielema era. Of course that is why the Bielema era is over.

Dykes literally can't do any worse than Morris did on the defensive side of the ball. Really poor recruiting, combined with his terrible choice for DC. Unfortunately for Dykes, the Juco market has been pretty well picked over at this point as well. If he can still find some Juco guys to plug in right away he deserves a ton of credit.

Privately Dykes has to be shaking his head.
