No question about Jennings choking but I think he's the kind of player who will learn from his bad games this year and validate Lashlee's decision to go with him instead of Stone. I thought this team would go 7-5 this year and play in some random bowl so I can't complain. Just wish we had played better and were more competitive today

After this miserable showing the only way we get back into the playoffs is to win the SCC outright.

Crowd has definitely been a factor on all the false starts but we should have anticipated that challenge

SMU will not get the benefit of the doubt next year without an average margin of victory of 28+.
A 3 loss SEC team will absolutely get in over SMU next year after this

Team needs a major roster rebuild. And more high IQ players. Too many boneheaded mistakes.

CanΓÇÖt wait for Ty Hawkins to challenge Jennings next year

I donΓÇÖt think most of our players have EVER experienced this. Until you have, it is almost impossible to prepare for.

I still think the committee made the right decision NOT to penalize us for the Clemson loss but the way to fix this is expanding to 14 teams with only the Top 2 seeds getting that 1st round bye. This year that would have translated into 2 of the 3 SEC schools (Bama, Ole MIss & USC) getting in but there would still be butt hurt schools like Illinois, A&M, etc... FCS doesn't play championship games but has a field of 24 to start their playoffs. Our showing today will have the powers that be back to the drawing board

This game was too big for Jennings but it wasnΓÇÖt the first time. It seemed too big for RL and the coaching staff too.

How many times has Junior or someone else been open downfield and in position for a long gainer or TD and Kevin either didn't see them or made a bad throw? Tough day for sure

Agreed. It would also help to expand the conference schedule. ItΓÇÖs hard to believe weΓÇÖre still playing 8 conference games when the conferences are about 75% larger than they were 10 years ago.

Honestly it doesnΓÇÖt matter how many teams you include, people always find a reason to complain.

CFP a disaster so far as Indiana wasn't very competitive last night until that last couple of minutes. Hopefully Clemson can represent the ACC better than SMU has today. ACC just hasn't performed well against Big 10 or SEC schools this year and things look even worse in basketball
