Probably the only people I would consider investing money into a restaurant with at this point. Well, maybe the Idle Rich guys because they are good operators with all of their concepts as well.

Cheddar is better than provolone. Ditch the avocado and you have the makings of a serious burger!

If by "concepts" you mean pouring a good drink, you're right. Their food is awful, but they do pour a cold beer.

You are correct, sir. I dont think anybody goes to Idle Rich, Blackfriar, Renfields or the Old Monk for a culinary experience. Probably looking for an experience of a different kind. At least the dudes are. Especially at the Blackfriar.

Had it last time I was in town ... and it was good enough that I went back and had another the next day before leaving town. Really good.

anyone who's had a burger in NM knows the green chile cheeseburger rules.

My favorite is from Bert's in Santa Fe.

Ran across this today...where to find one next time you're in NM.

SMU related because of SMU-in-Taos.

No kidding! Great GCC burgers at the Taos Inn bar and at the ski area. RGV maybe we ought to do a SMU-in-Taos 4 day summer program course sometime.
