We recently got a Five guys here in North Little Rock. I got the double (or whatever they call the largest). Could not find the meat. Kept checking my wife's burger to see if we had gotten them switched since she got a single. No flavor, no meat, and 12 1/2 pounds of french fries. Not my favorite.

New place...Atomic Pies...yeah, it's a pizza place, but they make great cheese burger sliders. They are located in Lake Highlands in the southeast corner of Walnut Hill and Audelia facing south across from the Chase Bank drive thru. It is a tiny place with big plans. Two of the owners use to work for Campisi's...one of them for a looong time.

Anyway give them a try. I really love the sliders and I usually don't like cheese burgers.

The food at NSL was terrible, but my burger today was terrific. A little greasy, but not overly messy, and the burger had loads of flavor. Wheat bun was a perfect match, although I don't know enough about food critique to explain why. The onion rings were pretty lame, but the burger was exceptional, and considering how crappy NSL was, a really impressive burger - definitely worth a return trip.

That shithole NSL finally closed? Great news. One of the most garbage places I've ever encountered. It did survive much longer than I thought possible.

Yesterday. You should go by there now.

Mid to late May I read the other day. Distribution facility opens in April.

Couldn't agree more. I still remember a few years ago when SMU had a contractual tie to that place (Coach Jones had a weekly show there, I believe) and the university asked fans to go there to watch the SMU/Tulane game. When they switched the sound from our game to the USC game, I thought there was going to be a riot. I'm with Eddie P - can't believe it survived as long as it did.

On the other hand, I went to Gazeebo Burger yesterday for lunch. Nothing remarkable about it, and I wouldn't go out of my way to go back, but a perfectly edible burger that I'd gladly consume again when given the chance.

Lake Highlands Pony and I grew up just down the street. Have to give it a shot.

Well, I love the grassfed burger angle. Did you know a good, greasy grassfed burger has a nutritional profile similar to wild salmon? The fat is almost entirely good fat and full of Omega 3's.
