I think SMU is competing hard they are just outmanned. You knew SMU would be conservative in the offensive gameplan too with a new QB

Unfortunately, though, I don't know if a gameplan like this really gets Willis ready for game number 2.

Slater is in.

The game was better than the score

SMU has not embarassed itself against Tech. We will be OK in the next 3 games based on what the team did tonight.

How can you say that...less than 200 yards of offense....running game - ineffective....passing game----innefective...3 points scored......looks like the Bennett regime is alive and well on the Hilltop!

TT switches QBs to, which means Leach will continue to attack. again, 42-3 written all over this.

Slater was put int he game because you have to try and win the next 3 and you want your backup getting some time before you get into conference. It is not an indictment on Willis.

We can listen to what the skill positions are doing for Tech but what we can not see is how badly we are probably outmanned on the line on both sides. It will only get better from here on out if the kids will keep their heads up.

I would like to see a touchdown. The excellent Blake Warren return for no points was very frustrating.

We should seriously stop playing Big 12 teams....particularly on the road!!!

It sounds to me like the d line is holding its own. Hard to tell if the oline is bad or if they are just flooding the box.

Another third down completed. our backup linebackers are all in the game.

One note offensively - absolutely zero deep balls attempted for Pellerin or Chase. Those deep balls really helped the offense at the end of the season last year, we are really, really playing conservative to keep our QB from getting killed.

NTSU will give us all we want next week in Denton....0-2 is a real possibility if our offense is this pathetic!

The one positive I see is that Quaterback Willis, until the one fumble on the ten, kept his head about him. He is a smart player. I think he actually played conservatively thus pushing some of his throws low to the ground.

Both offenses are struggling to throw, and I like our front 7 better than their front 7. Won't be a blow out, but we should come out with a win.

Another third down conversion.

sounds like Haywood is playing at a Big 12 Level-we just don't have that many in that category.

Hard to say that there are any positives tonight.....looks like the same SMU team we have had during the Bennett era!
