Pretty much...I don't think they or we would be able to run a big ten/pac 10/ or oregon schedule...

on what basis do you say that? I think they'd whip Oregon and everyone else in the Pac10 too. Auburn would probably beat them with Cam the Money Man. Remember, just pay the parents of the recruit and its all cool.

Because almost everyone underestimates how hard it is to go on the road in major conferences...Its one thing to game plan for a month and go and play...its another thing to play 3 games in a row vs top 20 teams, 2 on the road... almost no one gets through that...
They didn't whip Wisconsin, so I'm pretty sure they wouldn't whip oregon...
I actually think TCU now would have an easier path to the BCS by staying in MWC, rather than playing better teams in the Big East....They have the rep now, just like Boise and all they have to do is beat Air Force, SMU, and one decent OOC foe and they are in...Although they would have to go through Boise now, so maybe its equal...
Not sure texas recruits want to constantly play away from their families...but we will see...it is something we should defn use against them when we get to recruiting similar players...

But as I said the other day, I'm happy for my TCU friends. I congratulate TCU on just an oustanding season. They are the rival, but you give them credit. They are a well-coached team.
The school's/program's commitment speaks for itself.
Maybe they did it for the Boise's and SMUs and so forth.
Finally some enlightenment!
I'm happy you changed your pinko leanings!

Sure. But if they had Auburn or Oregon's schedule they'd be in a better conference, and could recruit the depth needed for those schedules. If you are going to have bias and disadvantages built into the system, you have to take those into account.

Touche! - it goes all around, better conference, better recruits

Give Patterson credit. He has recruited to their system, and it works. That is what June is trying to do as well, and I think trying to exactly follow their strategy on defense: Kids that can RUN!

Go TCU!!!
RAha rah arah....
The point is they aren't right now...we will see when they move into BCS in 2 years and really widen the spread between us and them....
May I suggest a purple out next time the frogs come to Ford, so we can blow them even more than you guys already do....
The SEC schools out recruit everyone in the country...the point is, it doesn't matter how much talent you got its hard to walk into 100k person hostile environment multiple times in a season...
It is VERY DIFFICULT TO WIN ON THE ROAD AGAINST TOP BCS TEAMS!!!!
Can anyone argue against that? It isn't New Mexico, or SMU, or Col. Springs...its fricking the big house or the horsehoe or happy valley, death valley, dawg pound...

We've gone into Death Valley, Norman, the Rose Bowl, Provo, Salt Lake, etc. and come out with victories.
Everytime we come up with the answer those against us want to change the question. Bottom line is Patterson has the No. 1 program in Texas right now and it's only getting better.
He's not going to have to convert RB's to DE's/LBS/Safties, etc.. He can recruit those positions that are already as fast as RBs. Spend more time on gameplanning and less on teaching.
June's window is actually next year to try to get TCU when we're in our first year under a new QB. With Pachall's natural ability he'll be better than Dalton by the start of his second year (his jr year).
SMU's problem is not TCU, as that ship is gone. SMU's problem is to make sure UNT doesn't rise up with the new coach and that Baylor doesn't use a bowl appearance to steal more recruits.
If June had come 2 years earlier you guys would have had a lot better shot. Just the wrong time right now.

Go Away...WHen dd you beat LSU? Since when is the rose bowl a visiting stadium...and you considering Provo or salt lake a hostile environment is a joke...
You have 1 win vs. norman which you had months to gameplan, and then followed with a loss to us...
You marched in a beat an average clemson team....congrats...
Try doing it week in and week out...I bet you don't win the big east for the first 5 years...
SMU is doing just fine...Don't come on here to give us advice...
Go back to your board...

if you make large contributions to the pastor's church whose son is a 5 star QB you too can play in the NCAA/BcS farce of an NC game.
I suggest you watch PONY EXCE$$ again!
Nobody is kissing any Purple Frog [deleted] here. All we are saying is WIN first and you'll get noticed and then maybe the cartel will let you join the club.
Without winning consistently we might as well restart the Magnolia League rhetoric again and keep buying scholars instead of FB players!
The playoffs are a pipe dream at this point in time because of all the BcS TV $$$ being generated.

Whether they paid or not...go through and look at rivals or ESPN or whoever....there are like6 SEC teams in the top 25...walking in those places week in and out is a very difficult task...

Clemson is also known as Death Valley.
