Kingsbury is a QB guru. Their offense is solid no matter who is QB.

Why don't we hire a QB guru?

I couldn't stay around long enough for Fatterson's press conference... I guess he was still hiking his pants up. Did he spew like we all expected, or is he saving that for a few days?

After watching a lot of football over the years, I've come to the conclusion that being a football ref is really hard. You have to stand there and watch extremely chaotic scenes unfold at a very fast pace and make snap judgments. I've also concluded that there are only a few people who are really good at it, and they all work in the NFL. College refs have always been, and will continue to be, mediocre at best. Hell, even the NFL had huge officiating problems last year when their first string refs went on strike. Bad officiating is just part of the college game. It's exasperating, but its not going to change.

That officiating crew potential missed two calls. The one above was very fast and certainly subject to the official's judgment. The second was the non fumble fumble. One can’t say the game turns out different, but it sure seems that TTU has benefited from timely questionable calls by the officials. Sure bad calls happen every game. It just seems the officiating gods have smiled on TTU since some of the bad calls are at key moments and seem to have some potential impact on the outcome.

On the non-fumble fumble, they reviewed it after Tech had run a play, saying that Tech actually didnt get the play off before the review. They said the call stood, and then it was second down from the point where Tech's play - the play they said didn't happen before the review - had ended.

Yea, I didn't get that either.
And to make matters worse, if I recall, TCU stopped the clock after the "second down".
Yet, the refs said that the play didn't count... so shouldn't that mean TCU shouldn't lose a timeout for a down that should have never occurred?

TCU simply didn't deserve to win-they should blame bad first half coaching/gameplan, poor performance and mistakes/penaties and turnovers and move on

I thought Tech played poorly against us, but we looked worse.

I guess, at some point, we have to give them some credit for *making* the other team look bad.

Tech's front 7 defensively is far better than a lot of SMU fan's thought
