Re: NIT thread
The SMU athletic program is in fantastic shape right now-I really don't understand why any SMU fans aren't extremely optimistic especially those who lived through no tournaments or bowls in decades. We do have 4 trophies in 3 years, coming off a season with the most victories in SMU History and a long winning streak over TCU. This ain't the end of the world. Some of us actually lived through Death

Such an SMU response. Any college ball fan absolutely knows the NIT. SMU fans don't because we are so disconnected. This exactly why athletics will never succeed. But yeah TCU.

SMU basketball is, football is not. We had 10,000 fans at home football games at best last season. Football is done. Basketball is our only hope.

Re: NIT thread
Is being the NIT champion better than going one-and-done in the tourney?

Everyone knows that it means there were 68 teams that had better seasons.

Dude LA, you're usually one of the more rational people on here. Go take a Xanax and chill man.

I'm the only one who gives a damn that TCU just did something we couldn't in the only sport we are good at, and I need to take xanax. Half the people on here wanted TCU to win??!! And I've got the problem. That tells you everything you need to know about our fanbase.

Re: NIT thread
I am totally indifferent to TCU winning the NIT. It wasn't even on the bottom line for ESPN. I had to come here to find out who won. Winning the NIT is a solid accomplishment, but I would much rather be one and done in the NCAA tournament every year than win the NIT. At least we had a chance to win a national championship, TCU did not.

I'm right here dude. Worry about something that matters. You say a few people commenting on the TCU NIT run will lead to the death of our programs. LOL!!!
