I would figure out a way to get to Birmingham again for that game in a heartbeat.

Are we playing them in bowl games?

...and about half of SMU fans are afraid to play Big 12 teams in the regular season. That's one of the reasons that SMU must play a representative non-conference schedule or we become irrelevant like NTSU in the minds of many Texans-because the bowl schedule doesn't allow an AAC team a shot at a decent P5 team unless you make the Big Bowls. Note some of the AAC bowl games against P5 schools may not even take place because say the 8th place Big 12 or 10th place SEC team isn't bowl eligible anyway. Even if they have enough bowl eligible teams its often a weak 6-6 team.

Hold off on the excitement for the moment. Missouri is 4-5 and their remaining schedule:
Nov 11 vs Tennessee
Nov 18 @ Vanderbilt
Nov 24 @ Arkansas
Considering they need to win at least two of those games to be bowl eligible, I wouldn't say the odds are in their favor. Can they go 2-1 (or 3-0)? Sure. Can they lose at least two of those games? Definitely.

that's what I was pointing out-The SEC, Big 12 etc likely won't have enough bowl eligible teams to fill some of those bowls that are scheduled to play against AAC. SEC especially with 2 Playoff teams (Georgia and Bama) and Ole miss voluntarily ineligible

I've seen Akron in some of these matchup projections. Tonight they look like a very winnable game. Losing at Miami-Ohio in front of tens of fans (thank you band!).

MAC only has 3 bowl eligible teams-pretty weak conference this year

I have seen some of these MAC games, including the ones last night, and that conference seems way down. Team speed looks very slow from the games I've watched. Would rather have a MAC match-up than C-USA though or MWC....it would at least be something different.

I predict Frisco Bowl against Akron or one of the MAC Michigan schools.
