my crystal ball tells me the future CUSA might be a conglomeration of 36 schools playing in 4 nine school divisions with it's own mini-playoff to get an automatic bid into a 16 team national championship playoff. (kidding ...hopefully, but will undoubtedly get a rise from a few)

CUSA, Sun Belt, WAC, MWC, and MAC merge to form D1-FCS1, the new championship subdivision, right above the renamed D1-FCS2. All the expenses of running an FBS team without any of the revenue or media attention.
