That’s a senior-led veteran team. They have a great shot at winning their conference this year.

Shake needs to step his game up and put this team on his back. He's always shied away from this opportunity. Man up!

That’s really unfair to put that kind of load on Shake. He can’t have perfect games every night. Now opposing coaches will try to stop Shake and make the others on the team beat them.

Shake was taking the shots, he just missed them. Last year these shots would have been taken by sterling or semi who made them, year before that by Nic who was a killer.
This game was a veteran team vs a lot of new comers we would win in February but that doesn’t matter now we are likely to get smacked by an angrey zona.

It’s shakes only weakness in his game. He misses way to many of those little floaters. He converted those at a high clip he’d be unstoppable.
It’s pretty clear with our 6 man rotation and how much Chargois struggled at times that we desperately need McMurray and Akoy. Both would be huge helps.
Unless we win tomorrow we likely will get WKU in the 7th place game... good not to leave 0-3, but without quality wins hurts.
I thought when shake pulled up for that open 3 that would have tied the game with about 6 minutes we had them-then we let them off the hook went cold and lead went back to 8

Akoy would have helped, but we must get the ball out of Whit's hands. He destroyed offensive momentum and refused to pass to Ray when open multiple times to instead pick up the dribble and lose it it pass to a covered Foster or shake.
Tough loss for us and the conference. They had played unc on the road already and looked more ready for real competition, our first 4 games didn't prepare us for much. Played well in a few spurts, that's was about it. Need agau badly and McMurray to take some scoring pressure off shake.

Should have won this by 10.

I’ll have to rewatch to see if this is true. We got good looks down the stretch but missed them. Played good enough d down the stretch to win.
Reay did some good things defensively on the Court but we really need a guy like Ben Moore who can play defense/rebound without fouling. 9 fouls I believe by the posts tonite-although I think Reay had some intentional fouls. Inside passing at the post could be better too-some inside fumbles for both posts tonite. Very little inside/out like we used to do with Ben playing Point Forward and distributing the ball.
