Thanks, 81. Yeah, I’m kinda wondering if we haven’t overestimated this team a bit.

Beat TCU.

I'm of the opinion it was because we were on the road against a team that most Ponyfans underestimated. All you have to do is watch the line play to know if one team is far superior and neither team dominated the other. La Tech's goal line stand was all I needed to see to know this was going to be a battle to the end. There were some killer penalties for both teams and neither team played it's best game, but I guess we will find out next week in Ft Worth whether this SMU team is grossly overrated in most Ponyfans' eyes.

I don't think next week will be telling as it is our rival and will get our best shot. I think Memphis, UCF, Cincinnati, and Houston will be more telling. I'm still not convinced we are anything beyond a 6-6 type team but we'll find out soon enough.

I don’t think you’re getting the credit you deserve for this post.

The amazing part is when you go to the espn app, you will see that our win probability the last 36 seconds was 0. The Tulsa OT game was .1%. That's how crazy yesterday was.

Too early to start thinking Tanner is going to break Buechele's single season TD passes record of 34 set in 2019? He's almost half way there through only 3 games although it is admittedly going to get tougher and tougher as we go through this season. He already set a new single game record with 7. Note: Buechele had 6 vs Temple and 5 vs ECU in that 2019 season.

JasonB made a gave a very eloquent diagnosis of Mordecai's deficiencies and strengths earlier this week and I could nitpick about a lot of things I saw in yesterday's game. But given the possibly providential nature of yesterday's last play it would would be tempting fate to do anything except revel in the outcome and enjoy it all week.
