Misunderstood, my bad. As it turns out I will be visiting family in Va. that weekend, watching the game there. I have not yet heard of a watching party in NYC. The bar we watched the Tech game at last year (Underground Bar/Lounge) has changed management, so I would imagine them to be less hospitable to the idea of turning the music off and turning the TV up, so I would try another bar. Or perhaps raplh's house.

Re: NYC Mustangs
Anybody been to Central Park since that thunderboomer two nights ago? I ran around the park this morning, and was counting giant, 100-yr-old, toppled trees, and lost count at about 30. Some of them were snapped like twigs. A real tragedy, I'm a sucker for old trees

Re: NYC Mustangs
Worked in NYC for 25 years and only found one decent Mexican restaurant in all that time. It was El Coyote located somewhere around 34th and 3d Avenue at the time. As I recall, the cook got mad at the owner circa. 1989 and quit opening his own resturant in White Plains. Shock Jock Don Imus frequently gave El Coyote a good plug then followed the cook to White Plains. I never found a good Mex place in the greater NYC area after El Coyote; however, found a Cajun/Mex place circa. 38th and 2d named Howe's By U which was ok.

Re: NYC Mustangs
Have not been to Dinosaur, I'll have to check that out. Silvia's in Harlem is awesome, but that's not really a pure bbq place. The subject of NYC barbecue has been explored earlier in this thread, and by that I mean 4 years ago, it can be dug up. But my favorites are:
-Brother Jimmy's (good NC pork BBQ with too many yahoos but nice looking waitresses)
-Virgil's (great all-around)
-Daisy May's (went there on my birthday, nice Texas cafeteria style)
Have not been to:
-Hill Country BBQ (heard it's good especially for Texas folks)
-and whatever that place is in the meatpacking district under the overpass on 14th st. Has "hog" in the name. People like that, but I've never been there
