We need a multi-team trade so we don't have to be in CUSA for another year

Re: Official - Secret Conference Thread
this writer doesn't know anything more than we do. it's 27 months before any team could leave the Big East, period. and mizzou has stated that any move will be for next year (unless that is just posturing for lower exit fees).
Why would Big 12 want to split the pie 16 ways?

And Louisville is set to follow suit shortly thereafter.
Cincy is also remains a distinct possibility. This will
of course depend entirely on what happens with BYU.

Let them all go... doesn't matter to me...
You on the other hand, being as dumb as you are, just don't realize you will be playing more meaningless games, splitting more money, and doing a lot less winning...
Good Luck

Absolutely. Take them all. I'm pining to see Cincy vs. Iowa St. or Louisville vs. Kansas. Sweet!! Those rivalries rock. Big TV dollars there. Oh, and splitting the pie with more people. That's mighty kind of you. Kind of like what Boise wants if they stay in the MWC/CUSA merger. They want to split all the money they can and help out everyone. Mighty generous.

Mountain West, Conference USA officials to talk to Big East chief about joining forces
By Mark Anderson
LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL
Posted: Oct. 25, 2011 | 7:47 a.m.
Commissioners from the Mountain West Conference and Conference USA are scheduled to meet with the head of the Big East Conference on Wednesday to discuss the formation of one 28- to 32-football team super conference to try to gain automatic Bowl Championship Series status.
The Mountain West and Conference USA already have agreed to merge by either next year or in 2013. The Big East has automatic BCS status, but is in danger of losing it after 2013 and has been exploring adding teams from the Mountain West and Conference USA in an attempt to salvage it. But the two Mountain West members face hefty exit fees should they leave -- Boise State up to $21 million and Air Force up to $9.6 million -- that could dissuade them from jumping to the Big East.
Seeing an opportunity, Mountain West commissioner Craig Thompson and Conference USA's Britton Banowsky will make the proposal to the Big East's John Marinatto in New York to create a mega conference.
According to a document obtained by the Review-Journal, UNLV could be in a division that also includes Boise State, Fresno State, Hawaii, San Diego State, UNR and Utah State, with San Jose State a possibility if the conference includes 32 teams rather than 28.
"We would figure out some way -- four divisions of seven teams each, a playoff and then a conference championship game -- to come up with the (automatic qualifier)," UNLV athletic director Jim Livengood said. "Craig and Britton are going into this meeting in New York with one thing in mind, to make this happen with the Big East."

Can we please get this done. And while we are at it add in the Sunbelt and MAC. I want to push us as far into irrelevancy as possible.

Re: Official - Secret Conference Thread
Oooh I can see the $$$ rolling in. What a BCS game brings roughly $20 million to the conference. We split that 32 ways and it comes out to a hot $625,000 to SMU. Sign me up please.
