I'm telling you, first 4 minutes of 3rd quarter will tell us if we should actually get excited or just another blowout after starting pretty good.

I'll take 6-6 at this point

Proud of the guys so far
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: OFFICIAL GAME 2 THREAD: SMU vs. Baylor
Proud too-we miss Xavier a lot. And Davis too
Re: OFFICIAL GAME 2 THREAD: SMU vs. Baylor
I think if we had a QB like Charlie Brewer that SMU would be up by a touchdown or more at the half imo. Can't wait for that kid to get here and Peavy to be eligible. In the mean time if Hicks can get his be a but more accurate in the second half I believe SMU will be in good shape.

I wonder where we'd be with Davis. Part of me thinks practically the same spot.

Ben Hicks numbers don't look good, but I like what I've seen. Let's see if he can settle down, hasn't thrown a good ball in a bit. Run and keep it simple for him. He definitely wants to win and is competitive and that's all I really care about ultimately so. Still think Davis gives us a much opportunity to win against a team like BU. But can't complain about him really. Better than expected so far. Settle down young man and play within yourself and the system (and throw it very high and far to Courtland LOL).
Notable young 'uns:
- Badejo playing quite a bit
- No Scott twins, no Gary, no McLaurin. No Alphonso Thomas.
- Spears and Kadarius Smith not even dressed.
- No Honey.
Get Proche back involved, hopefully that drop doesn't get into his head. Castille needs to step up. Running backs, hold onto the ball - it's slippery out there (sweat on the arms).

Really impressed by the intensity over all. D has been huge so far. Hopefully we make good adjustments at half.

We've got a defense.

Defense looks pretty good. And will look even better once Malone gets more of his recruits in over the years.

Uh, let's see how they do in the third. Definitely in one half they played the best they have since probably 2011. And I've always been high on Horace, he just has been too injured. Wyatt still learning, but clearly an athlete. Need our second string DL to step up (looks like JT Williams got in, that's good) and secondary to keep playing with confidence.

Badejo looks pretty good. Gary was in for a few plays. Honey may have come in for 1 or 2 plays when Sutton went out for a while. McLaurin and Thomas are redshirting which is good imo.
I agree in that they have to get Proche and Castille more involved.
