One more thing, I don't think most realize how good our 2017 class is/can be. As hoopmanx posted somewhere, if Chargois gets his body into upper level college bball shape, look out. All four of these guys are capable of making an impact next season.

Yep. I dont think most people realize that we got a HUGE steal in William Douglas whose a 4-star and we beat Memphis, Ole Miss, Michigan, Notre Dame, and FSU. He is a Shake type player and is a late bloomer so might rise even higher in the class rankings (though i think he is hurt to start the season). Chargois had a final four of us, UH, CU, and KSU. He is a little over 6'8 more athletic guy with a Froling skill-set, but needs to shape his body like Froling did. If he does as LA sand Hoop have said watchout. Everett Ray might be a huge steal, another late bloomer check out the thread on the board for him. Landrum is a freak athlete, change of pace up-tempo PG, whose a good defender, and had a huge scoring July on AAU circuit when Trae Young was on team USA.
Just because the 2016 class didn't pan out doesn't mean this isn't a really talented class. Looking at the 2016 class we all thought Froling would be real good, but knew very little about Tom Wilson, and McDowell is the lowest ranked recruit we have signed since LB showed up. It wasn't a super exciting group after we lost Kapita and Bruno. So I'm not surprised McDowell and Wilson need time and will likely not be high level players, but could be dependable contributors with time.

Let's hope so. Assuming everyone returns from this year's team (which would be a sucker bet), there will be 7 scholarship players returning.

It is all speculation and hype until they hit the college floor, then we will know for sure. This class is going to have to be good or SMU could be taking a step back. Let's see what happens when they get here.

Very well attended for $500/plate. Some big name donors and admin there.
I'll highlight one thing which coach talked about when discussing recruiting. He said having a sold out arena is crucial to landing the recruits we are after. That is one of the main things the kids want, to play in front of a loud and packed home court. So that's one thing we can all do to contribute.

He cited the TCU game and said the crowd definitely helped get the win.

How does Harry's leaving affect our chances to recruit his brother?

Awesome. We absolutely must keep Moody rockin'. It is so important to the team and its future.
