Doh says Jalen is a competitor but doesn't "understand the finer points of the game"

Change game to coaching and he could be talking about himself. "understand the finer points of coaching"

This Princeton offensive SMU runs is great for Princeton. It's not great for SMU. Cunningham, Jones, Giles, Sapp need to run like galloping ponies, instead of a gelded pony

After being around this stuff for 24 years, there are times when taking morphine shots helps you get through it.

Unacceptable there was hardly any Jalen Jones the second half.
Slight positive, it appears Cunningham has learned to rebound.

I just wonder what makes SMU athletics in general so damn soft.
BUT hoops = more fun than football. Maybe because I have zero expectations

I think it's the mentality and the culture. All of the head football coaches since the DP have been pretty soft in their nature. All of the ADs have been like that. All of the guys who have come through here don't bring that sense of urgency and intensity.
That's not a knock but that's us.

It has to start with your FB program. You think the guy sitting in the big chair in those offices has the personality to do that? Too much country club atmosphere from a guy who is more concerned when the direct deposit clears the bank.
Right guy. Right time. Time to cut losses and move in a direction where people throughout the athletic department community and the student-athletes are challenged.
