I've never seen a performance like Smith's that game, given that the guy was sick. He would hit a huge deep 3, get subbed out, vomit, come back in and hit an even deeper huge 3
Typical Louisville homer. He has them #14 this week, well ahead of SMU. Louisville felt like they were so above the American. Very evident in his response and got a huge dose at conference tourney in Memphis that year from their fans. Their uppity entitled attitude was sickening. Unfortunately, we weren't able to make a point with them that year mainly due to Smith's unconscious performance. I was secretly hoping that we were to end up in their bracket last year. Will have to wait for that opportunity hopefully in the near future.
He has us ranked two behind average, that is not egregious. I thought his weak comment with "could" instead of "should" and then "write it down" was the ridiculous part.
That Louisville game is still my favorite in the new moody. Our students gave Pitino holy hell - and that scuz deserved it. They were lucky to win, especially after we rocked them for the first ten minutes of the game. Big fun and epic battle.
Might have been the loudest I've ever heard Moody. Wasn't that the game where the refs and players said the floor was shaking from the students jumping up and down?
SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four 2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs

Yes and Rick wondered if we were a Christian school

Well now that "Newman" has clarified his stance with his one word answer, we know why he doesn't have us ranked. Will be interesting if he response to any of the PF tweets. What a piece of self-righteous work.
Even with that we had 11 votes move SMU down (15 of them moved us up). 8 of them have Ky moving ahead. I guess I understand that to a point with win of Lou.
Duke moving ahead in 2 voters without playing a game and our 2 good wins?
Iowa St. moving ahead with win of Cincy for 2 voters. I guess, but Cincy loss yesterday makes this questionable.
Lou moving ahead after losing to Ky for 3 voters and one of those had Colorado ranked. ????
And one moved Villanova ahead after win over Delaware and also had Colorado ranked #21. ????
For those of you counting, one had 3 teams move ahead (Ky, Duke, and Lou), and 2 had 2 teams move ahead (Ky, Iowa St. and Ky, Duke). One of those is from Tulsa - wondering how she is feeling this morning about that.
Just keep winning. Cincy losing doesn't help our cause with game in Moody next week.
True that the Cincy loss hurts ranking wise but to me that's less important than having a major AAC RIVAL FOR THE REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP AT 0-1 with a loss to someone other than us.
More good news: they have lost three at home this season already. Beatable!
As for Temple: they played us tough in Philly for 30 minutes last season. It will be a tough game again.
