Did Hopdoddy two nights ago. I've got a new favorite. Llano Poblano burger with a Hop Trapp in a frosty mug. Parmesan fries dipped in queso.

Haven't eaten there yet. Can you get a "medium" or "medium rare" burger? Previously heard that, no matter how you order, they all come out "well done". Not really in to cooked meat.

Agreed. The one burger I got there was perfectly medium rare. Let me know what you think if you can get over there.

That last part should be almost illegal. I will be trying that soon.

A friend invited me to watch NFL games yesterday, and said he wanted to try a sports bar near his house in Frisco: 3rd Base Sports Bar.

If you're into places where the staff wears Hooters-like uniforms, you'll like this place, at least a little. But the burger was terrible -- chewy, greasy and completely void of flavor. Don't waste your time.

I used to love Chips on Lover's. Stopped by for a quick lunch on Black Friday and found the burger tasteless and not what I remembered as one of the best in Dallas for 30 years at least. Besides, the meal came on some kind of weird designer plate instead of a basket. If anyone knows what has happened to Chips I wish that you would PM me to give me the lowdown. This is very disappointing!

Uh oh! I was looking forward to hitting up the new Lakewood location. Tell me it's not true!

Hopdoddy update. I am going the gluten free route of late and had a gluten free bun with my LLano Poblano burger the other night. The biscuit, er bun, was dreadful and looked and tasted like it was made with bisquick. Burger itself was outstanding as always.

You are going gluten free without a gluten allergy?
