I'm moving back to NY (grew up in the 'burbs). What's it like for Mustang alumni in the city? Is there a website with info and whatnot?

There is an alumni chapter or group or whatever they call themselves in NYC. You should get on their e-mail distribution list. They seem to get together 2-3 times a year. Often at a pub to see an SMU sporting event or someone from SMU comes in as a guess speaker. I think most of the participants are under say 35? I'm too old for that crowd but they seem to net work and have fun.

Coincidently I was wearing an SMU t-shirt on the Newark Airport monorail and this very attractive cute about 25 year old women gives me the pony ears and says 'pony up'. I was taken back. We talked and she was an SMU graduate living in NYC and she said she attends the alumni functions. She was cute so if your single and in her age bracket I would definitely attend. If not her, I’m sure she has friends.

That looks like fun, with good prizes too. If I was not going to be out of town that weekend, I would probably go to that. Maybe next year I will have to enter and show those UT/aTm fools what real Pony Express Chili taste like

Hurricane Irene: they closed down mass transit and evacuating parts of the City. First time in the City's history. This is going to be one wild ride.

I lived in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan for about a year (3rd Ave and 37th), but I'm back in Dallas now.

My old SMU roommate and his wife live by Gramercy Park (Lexington and 21st).

great commercial for Derek Jeter. FYI Bob Sheppard introduces Jeter at Yankee stadium. He passed away several years ago but Jeter asked his recoded introduction continue for him until Jeter retires.
