Looking good. I love that RPI number. Just keep winning. This is SMU's conference to lose.....

If Michigan can somehow pull this out it rockets up again...

Yeah - that would have been great.
We are still at 15 even with the Michigan loss.

So TX Tech win today helped us (in a small way) since they lost to Houston, correct? It's crazy looking at our RPI compared to others. Second in Big XII, well ahead of ACC leader Notre Dame, second in Big 10, etc.

We have been helped by the Texas Southerns and Eastern Washingtons, but we really have had a nice season to date.
I still want to remove all doubt by winning The American tournament, but our RPI should be high enough to get in as long as we don't have any brutal losses from here on out.

Our RPI right now not only gets us in, it gets us a top 7 seed

Don't forget Wyoming among those who are helping us...they still sit atop the MWC and won an OT thriller against UNM today

Yes, Texas Tech winning does help us in a small way, small being the operative term. Texas Tech's win loss record will account for 0.06% of our final RPI. Considering Tech will play about 30 games, any one game of their's counts for 1/30 of 0.06%, or 0.002% of our final RPI.
By the way, their are a ton of teams that count 0.03% of our final RPI. Those are teams that play only one of our opponents once. Houston is the only common opponent we have with Tech, but since we play Houston twice all of Houston's opponents count twice in our opponents' opponents category.

We really need to make a statement in the conference tournament. But we still have tough games left in the season, so every game counts at this point to prove we're legit.

I want to win the regular season championship. Leave the tournament championship to UCONN, since they will be desperate and on their home floor.
