Wichita State not looking very good on their home court. Lots of bonehead turnovers. Will be tough for them to come back now

Trae Young can flat ball.
29 and a double/double on the road in the win over Wichita State.
Not the greatest shooting percentage but a serious prime-time player.
Whoa.
Also: this is the first time i took a hard look at a Shocker stat sheet. I know McDuffie is still out. I know Shamet is only a soph. But 6 of their 8 guys who got real minutes last night are seniors.
Now I understand the push to join the conference THIS YEAR.
Next year they will look alot lke we do this year: untested noobs sprinkled around a couple of solid vets.

Big game Monday against Boise State...surprised to see them so high in RPI right now. They would be # 3 in AAC based on ESPN's RPI numbers. Overall rankings:

American Athletic Conference:

That is the norm for UAPB. They play all away body bag games non conference to supplement their athletic coffers. Then they occasionally will win their conference and make the NCAA tournament.
That was why our loss to them in the Doh years was the most embarrassing I have ever witnessed.

It ranks up there pretty high but how about SMU losing to Rollins College (FL) at Moody in what I think might have been Dave Bliss' 1st year? Of course, only the 1500 witnessed both those games

Personally knowing that UAPB is the Washington Generals of college basketball makes that loss worse for me.
