We closed the doors in December for good.

Word at Club Schmitz last night: Closing April 16 after 68 years. If you go, say "so long" to Sylvia.

How are (were) the hamburgers at Club Schmitz? What would you compare them to?

Made it to Grub. Overpriced, but terrific burger.

Fries were a little bit of a letdown.

Glad to read this. Grub burger is opening a location in Midland later this year.

Maple and Motor was featured on DD&D last night. What does everyone think of that place?

I would compare them to a middle-aged white guy's version of lunch in heaven.

I was finally able to make it there two years ago, before they had to stop selling the original Dr Pepper soft drink. I thought it was good, not great. I think part of the problem was I had heard so much about it the expectations were to high. But I would go back for another cheeseburger with bacon and jalapeños and O-rings

Sounds pretty good. Just wish I could have made it there before they closed.

Maple & Motor is real good. Baloney sandwich is a winner. Brisket sandwich alone is worth the trip. However, there are a couple of Harvey Goff clones runnin' th' joint.
