My love for SMU runs deep, but after living in both Dallas and Houston my entire life, it's painfully obvious that UT, A&M, Tech, and OU dominate those markets. I don't think conferences look at SMU and UH and think to themselves, "If we take SMU we can make a splash into the Houston and DFW TV market." UT and A&M have such a footprint on those two markets that the barriers to entry are high. I love SMU, but the reality is we can't deliver the DFW market to a conference. Between the NFL teams and UT's footprint, it's hard to look at conference in the eye and say, "We can bring you the DFW market with our program." I wish it were different, but that's just not the case.

We may not be able to deliver the whole market, but right now the BE, for instance, has none of the market. There are actually a lot of Yankees that have moved down here who would love to go to a BE game in Dallas and the BE teams would get some exposure to Texas recruits. We are not totally devoid of value to the BE...or the SEC for that matter.

It never hurts to have the possibility of an additional 4 teams playing in Dallas besides the ones at Jerry world.

There are Yankees in Texas? How in the world did that happen? Who let them in?

Damn Yankees! Oh well....since they are here, they might as well buy a ticket and see some of the best football this side of the Mason Dixon Line at Ford Stadium.

That is what I was wondering. I think we need to start at least three more threads to fully flush out the conspiracy :D

Thad? Your call.

I will get a list up, but it really is a matter of hearing back from some guys and also I have heard from guys, but don't know what they put in. So we need to get more guys involved than the original group to get the numbers up.

Lastly, Tim is out of town, so I don't have the actual $ amount of what is in the account yet.
