Boy Gonzaga blew that game! Awful play on last 3 possessions.

Re: NCAA tourney thread
Has it ever happened, outside of maybe the championship game, where every team playing on one day was from the same conference? Tomorrow is all-ACC.

I don't know, but I doubt it. The previous high-water mark for Sweet Sixteen teams from one conference is 5 (multiple times by the ACC, at least once by the Big East). For four of them to face off in regional finals, they would've had to have four teams evenly distributed in two regions, each going 2-0 from that point. I'm not going to research it, but it's unlikely.

NC, whose players don't have to attend class, goes to the final four, while SMU, who had a player cheat on a test, gets banned. Wonderful NCAA.

Too bad you're not a judge. America could use more of your wisdom.

I saw an article this morning that answered this; prior to 2016, only the 2009 Big East had four Elite 8 teams. Villanova and Pitt did face each other in a regional final, but UConn and Louisville were in different regions. Pitt and Louisville lost their regional finals, and Villanova and UConn were still on opposite sides in the semis (both lost).

It made me so mad to see Syracuse cutting the net down the other day.

Biggest travesty of the whole thing. So now they are the Cinderella story when they shouldn't have been in the damn thing. So typical.
