Two years ago we could not even dream of staying on the same court with Louisville. Now we are disappointed with a close loss and thinking a big win in Dallas. Gosh this is refreshing even in defeat.

Very happy with today. We just went toe to toe for the most part with the defendimg champs
Re: Official: SMU vs. Louisville Thread
Still proud to be a Mustang! Let's be honest, our team did not show up in the first half. Our guys played scared, had a lot of unforced turnovers, kicking balls out of bounds, maybe it was nerves? No doubt about it, Nic Moore was shutdown. Credit to Louisville. Markus Kennedy really showed up for a stretch in the second half. Shawn Williams really played a great game. Ben Moore even had a few determined makes around the basket. Sterling Moore and Keith Frazier were non-factors. No one guarded Luke Hancock. Didn't make sense to me. It is not like Hancock is the most athletic player on the court. We let Hancock do whatever he wanted on the offensive end. Open threes, open drives to the bucket. What is so tough about stopping Hancock? I guess he must have a strong Basketball IQ. Where was Keith Frazier? O for 5 on 5 forced shots. I like Keith's confidence, and I am definitely rooting for him, but anyone who thinks that he deserves more minutes after a performance like today is kidding themselves. He was forcing everything. We need more from you Keith. Take the ball to the basket. We had the game down to 4 points with about a minute to go. Imagine if any of Keith's shots went down. Imagine if we had hit some free throws. Imagine if Crandall Head would not have missed a gimme layup at the end of the first half. I am still optimistic about our team, just wish our guys could have pulled this one out. Too bad E-man was not available to suit up today!

There was nothing yummy in the Yum Center today. 7 dollars for a cup of beer I kept the cup cause I was pretty sure it was lined with gold.

I like the liquor stock. I was at the Maker's Mark bar or whatever you call it over at 4th Street Live before the game and I got Maker's cheaper than my beer in the game lol

$7.25 for 16oz domestic, close to Moody prices, plus liquor at every level (didn't go there). Pregame bars all around the arena. It is the place to be in Louisville.
Those folks were shocked that a team they never heard of gave them a scare. Most I spoke with blamed it on a level of entitlement/complacency since winning the championship that has carried over to the team, too. I told them we are just a good team and getting better.

When I told one guy that our coach was Larry Brown, he said, oh, he's a pretty good coach, right? I laughed and told him the hall of fame thinks so. Can't wait till we have tshirt fans.
