Did we drain Tulsa? Sure they won but it took more out of them to beat us and left nothing for the next game?

Tis happens in football all the time. A sign of a good solid team is how well their opponent performs in the next game. we beat Rice and Tulsa gets crushed. Maybe there is hop for the rest of the season?

Once we decided to pressure the ball late in OT, we were effective defensively, stopping Rice. Gotta pressure the ball to avoid those wide open 3's Rice hit all night.

Junior, you like the shout-out at the game tonight?

They combined to score 46 of the 76 points or nearly 61 percent.

They are getting nothing off the bench. Clink, Haynes, & Pats need to look in the mirror.

I might be willing to look the other way on Pats. But I agree the mirror applies to Clink and Haynes. Their production -- or lack thereof -- is unacceptable.

Come on now, Clink barely plays, and when he does, he scores. I don't know if he's in the doghouse, but I've been told he's slower to the princeton than most. Maybe he doesn't buy in the way others have, don't know. That said, if they gave him consistent burn he'd get pts. He was our 3rd leading scorer about half way through the year.

Haynes has had a dismal year, and Losh just needs some time. He's really struggling

Just glad we won.

Unreal. Rice should have never been in this game. Almost like watching Jason Williams beat Maryland at the end to tie - haha. Hoopmax / Ponydoh

Just back from the game, nothing like an easy 10 point win!

With a minute to go, I had actually moved by the exit behind the basket to get to the car to hear the post game show, never imagined I woulda had to go back to my seat. Actually, most of the game was kind of 'meh', SMU was in control the whole way and was not really much to cheer for, except Papa's ally oop slam, glad to see the crowd get into it in overtime.

Really proud of the guys. Actually, SMU really didn't collapse down the stretch, Yes, we had the one bad TO with 7 seconds left, but we hit all but one FT, probably the biggest mistake was taking the air out of the basketball a bit too soon, should have ran the offense a few more possessions. Rice hit all them miracle threes and did a great job to get it to overtime. Glad they were out of gas though.

Incredible overtime performance, I believe I heard on the radio that the 19 overtime points is the most in SMU history, very nice!

Big game, and a tough one Saturday. Let's do it Ponies, keep the dream alive!!!
