WSU was the better team tonight, that's for sure. gm landed one heck of a class with Early, VV, Baker, et al, and he is really cashing in these past few years. He's still the biggest A-hole coach in America. Wait until he takes his act to Austin and has a much larger stage.

KU has nothing to gain by playing them. WSU was the one who called off the series after they got tired of KU curb stomping them by 50. KU typically has a top 5 SOS every year and doesn't need any additional Kansas exposure. Other than providing KU fans living in Wichita a closer game (you know, because a 2 hr drive is just too far), there isn't one reason why KU would/should schedule them. If they play them in the tourney, fine.

I will say though, this board's hate with the Bevo 10 is funny considering most would literally give your left nut to be added to the Bevo 10. I can't stand the conference and would love for KU to get out of it, but as a SMU fan I don't spend my time insulting a conference that I would like to join.

Disappointed yes, bitter no. I wasn't looking forward to this year as I had KU #4 at best in the B12. I would have liked for them to make it to the SS, but on balance, I'm good with what they accomplished as the sixth youngest team in America. On to next year...

I would think Self would schedule them now to try to get a win against them and then stop scheduling them after the win. LOL.

The biggest issue is gm's ego. He refuses to climb the ladder and schedule a game at AFH without a return trip to Koch. They're at least 10 years of additional success (ex: Zaga) before they can make those demands. SMU has scheduled 1-0 series; it's what you do when you're on the rise and want higher profile games.

If I were him I would not want to schedule a 1 off game with KU either. He has more leverage now that they put that whippin' on KU. Self now has the 2nd best team in the state so if I were GM I would let him call me. KU better hope GM does not go to UT.

Lol...he's welcome to head over to UT. The Shockers are now 3-12 lifetime against KU and they're about to return to the dump. Not too concerned about their win tonight.
