Re: Other games of interest
Assuming we beat a ranked Tulane in the American championship game in New Orleans, I highly doubt Liberty would be ahead of us in CFP rankings, even if they remain undefeated. I don’t think Liberty or the Mtn West or MAC champion has that opportunity for a top 25 W remaining.

Gruesome injury to Miami's QB. FSU and Miami still battling.
Mrs peruna81 is hoping it doesn't come down to a FG...again...

Was weird watching Tanner Mordecai play for Wisky today. He was not at his peak level; not terrible but he was coming off a hand injury and it showed. Anyway, Northwestern beat them 24-10 and that was not TM's fault.

On some of the Baylor fan pages there is no small amount if talk of bringing back Briles. They are buying into the scapegoat theory. If I recall most recently he was involved in a UIL transfer scandal?peruna81 wrote:Be still my heart...HubbaHubba wrote:Baylor heading towards the bottom 10 after getting destroyed by K State.

It is very interesting that many of the Baylor fans of Briles rely on a book written by a Baylor alum named Lane Alpert to support their belief that Briles is innocent. Alpert seems to have written two books in his life, both about Baylor. One is called "Scapegoat" and it is a fictional account of the sex scandal at Baylor written to make the coach look like an innocent. Alpert is a mortgage loan specialist in Missouri who settled a claim brought against him by the FDIC a few years ago when he was a director of a bank. Of course he claims that he was an innocent victim of the FDIC despite participating in a multi-million dollar settlement of claims against him for his role in his bank's failure.

Bowling Green blows is against Toledo who is now 10-1 (and ahead of us).

I'm finding that every ACC game I watch is viewed from the lens of how we would compete against them. I think we would do well against Pitt this year, even though they are about to upset BC.

It was good to see JMU lose. If we win out, we avoid what would have been controversial regarding their bowl appearance. Now, they can complain but they won’t be ranked above SMU if we win out.

That game was fire tho. How was College Gameday at JMU and then the game is relegated to ESPN+ ?Mustangs_Maroons wrote:It was good to see JMU lose.
