I would throw the Rice loss and the TCU loss (to a winless squad, playing for a potential bowl game) in the mix as well.

We can argue that the Rice win keeps Bennett here, but going to a bowl game would have been a big boost for the program. I can recall wanting to drive my rolls into my garage and roll down the windows with the car running and the garage door closed after that game............ok, j/k; I think I took a stripper home from Treasures that night to help ease the pain.

What about the discontinuance of the in-and-out policy in 2007? That sure screwed up MY routine.

I think the firing of Hayden Fry and replacing him with Dave (pay me now or pay me later) Smith as head football coach should be considered in the list.

I found it to be a sort of forced intervention, if you catch my drift.

the 94 game against baylor when baylor did not attempt a pass the entire games is def a top ten moment. Also, Brannon Coluccio's shoulder injury that ended a very promising career would make the top 15.

I believe this falls under the year 2000 but how about the advent of ponyfans.com (damn you MG) and all the belly aching arm chair quarterbacks that have come about from this forum. :P

Gotta be a Top 10: Losing to a previously-winless TCU team in the last game of the 1997 season. A win would have secured a bowl bid for us and likely have returned us to some level of prominence (and competitive recruiting). It was our first REAL shot at a bowl since the DP, and we blew it. Instead of rising from the ashes, with the loss we began to sink into the depths for another decade.
