Yeah, the one with the standing mustang--kicking it old school, baby. Seriously, wouldn't it be fun, and a helluva promotion, to do a "throwback" uni day like in the pros?

If Stampede is right, lots of possibilities exist:

State-of-the art / NCAA championships quality aquatics facility - Water Pony would do a celebratory belly flop.

Complete renovation of Moody Coliseum with practice courts added.

A new athletics and convocation center to replace Moody Coliseum.

Mustang (enlarged) Mania returns to the Hilltop - Equestrian Team to train on campus.

Track & Field reinstated with additional funding to add (required) new women’s teams.

High-end indoor tennis facility.

Teams or facilities or coaches’ positions are endowed.

Baseball stadium (and other athletics facilities) to be built on the Mrs. Baird’s site.

Funding completed for Heritage Hall.

Football signed a ten-year home and home series with Texas or Notre Dame.

SMU to replace Baylor in the Big 12.

NCAA passes legislation that no football team can go more than ten years with out a bowl game - guaranteeing that SMU will be forced into a bowl game in 2005 - regardless of our record.

Large financial donation stabilizes the overall financial health of SMU Athletics.

Ponyfans.com is revealed as Dr. Turner’s and SMU’s Board of Trustees’ favorite website.

All of the above.

That was great, cheesesteak! :D

What I'm hearing is that things will be done to make SMU more academically viable towards athletes, particularly football players. Whether this is the big secret or not remains to be seen.

Isn't that a given? PonyFans.com should be the favorite website of everyone associated with SMU! At least I know it's mine.

I've heard recently that SMU plans to renovate/upgrade/modernize Moody, the practice facilities, and the rec center. I understand that they will be eliminating the street between the parking garage and Moody and expanding to the edge of the parking garage.

I wonder if this is the news that will be coming out. Stampede?

Get to campus often? They've been working on the rec center for months.

As for the area by Moody, they will soon tear down the SAE and LXA houses to build a new parking garage. At some point the Sigma Chi house gets demolished as well to put up a building. Whether that leads to closing the street between Moody and the existing parking garage, I don't know.

Don't forget Lettermen hall... it'll probably be the next building to go.

Speaking of which, we haven't had a Top 10 from "Letterman" lately.
What gives?

I realize it's a bit wimpy to post hints like this, but to Stampede's defense, I'm pretty sure he's been sworn to secrecy.

Further, at least when you get hints like this, it gives you the opportunity to see what you can dig up on your own, be optimistic about forthcoming good news or brace for the worst.

Well then keep it secret by not saying anything at all. This is gutless.
