Hey that's no different than your fluke against A&M last year, hypocrite.
Exactly!!!
Before last year, Baylor hadn't beat aTm since 1985. With a tie in 1990...way to go 1-17-1!

They won on the road lots of times...in the Clinton administration. Good thing they won't get the Bush library; he's bringing them bad luck.

There is a difference between one or two opportunities (max) a year and five or six. And until last year, Baylor hadn't beaten a former SWC BCS school in the last 20 or so games.

How'd that work out for ya last year? Way to be 1-12 against us.
Good one!
Non-bcs schools can go 11-0 and still never sniff a nat'l championship in the current system... its an uphill climb from the get-go... somehow we manage though and we enjoy those wins (embarassing wins) when they come against teams like that.
Whats your excuse?
Everyone in the Big 12 has managed to make it to a bowl game since the league began. Well... all except one. Can you tell me which team that is? Yall are lucky to even BE in that conference. SMU or UH would be light years beyond yall by now (and probably will be in the near future).
Stick to the non-revenue sports.

Must be a really new development. About 1.5 years old I estimate.
From the Baylor Engunerring School website:
Accreditation
Engunerring programs may seek accreditation by the Engunerring Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engunerring and Technology (ABET), 111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202-4012, phone 410-347-7700. All Engunerring program accreditation is subject to the ABET EAC general criteria. Engunerring programs such as Electrical and Computer Engunerring or Mechanical Engunerring are also subject to additional program specific criteria. Engunerring programs may seek accreditation at either the basic (B.S.) or advanced (M.S.) level, BUT NOT BOTH.
Each of Baylor's three B.S. engunerring programs
Electrical and Computer Engunerring
Mechanical Engunerring
Engunerring
are accredited by ABET/EAC under the general and respective program criteria.
No Doctorate levels offered in most areas like SMU? No accreditation at
the M.S. level? NO new math.

Some BCS schools go 11-0 and dont get to the Champioship game. They need a playoff, which they could just copy the D1-AA playoffs.

BUTITAN,
You, and your Big Smelve friends get together, and SELL that to the BCS.

Don't feel like you are the first to desert - I have
dozens of SMU friends who long ago became Husker fans or IowaSt fans or whatever. You'd have thought they graduated from their "adopted" schools. Some fans have no loyalty.
Well, all my Baylor friends are UT fans. Don't think because you are a fan that Baylor fans have loyalty. They arrive late in the 4th quarter when it looks like they'll win (very rare) and the few die hards that go are mostly gone when it looks like yet another loss. SMU is not much different, but don't cry big 12 supremacy and think that your attendance problem is somehow not as bad as ours. I don't care what conference you're in. That is not a football program. Ours is probably not by most people's standards either, but my point is simply Baylor is no better and we may find out Saturday that they are worse.
SMU 31
Baylor 17
logic: none...college football is not logical...turnarounds happen
WHere did penn state go??? Who the heck is Utah???? Anything can happen and I wouldn't watch if it predictable and boring.

Since no one has predicted a truely objective score outcome, I went to the CUSA Collegefootballnews.com website:
http://www.collegefootballnews.com/Conference_USA/2005_Predictions/Sept3_2.htm
Their prediction:
Baylor - 31
SMU - 17

There is no question in my mind that this game will be the bellwether as to whether Coach B remains on the Hilltop. Someone mentioned it's essentially a 'pick-em'...which comes down to preparedness. Running through my posts of last year and observations of the two years prior, I can honestly say I don't recall coming out of a game thinking, "d*mn...Coach B had those boys prepared." On the other hand, there have been many, many times when I've thought...why weren't our guys prepared? e.g., the Navy debacle a couple of years ago...the last two games vs. Ok St....last year vs. TCU...Rice last year...Fresno St. last year...etc. Hopefully, Sept. 3 will mark a turning point. If my (our) mindset is much like after last year's TCU or Rice game, Phil's gone.
My prediction (optimistic one at that): SMU 41, Baylor 35 (2 OT)

You don't think Bennett had the guys prepared for the Tech opener last year? What about the Tech game his first year (the one right after the Navy stunner)? Bennett can get the guys prepared for a game, I just don't know if he can do it two successive weeks in a row. Hopefully, those were just new coach mistakes, let us hope and pray that this year he stops making those.
